WAEC Announces 2023 WASSCE Results, Showing 4878 Banned Persons

The greatest scores in four years for the 2023 Ghana-only WASSCE have been revealed by WAEC. The login credentials for candidates’ results will be sent to school heads via email. Among other reasons, unreturned learning materials have obstructed 4,878 candidates’ results.

The preliminary results for the Ghana-only 2023 WASSCE for School Candidates have been made public by the West Africa Examination Council (WAEC)

In order to view their applicants’ scores, school heads will obtain login credentials, according to a press release dated December 18, 2023. According to WAEC’s performance data, this year’s results are the best in the prior four years, which is a substantial improvement. On the Council website, candidates can also view their results online.

Nevertheless, 4,878 candidates’ results that were not returned with the learning aids that their schools had given them have been blocked by WAEC. Candidates who are impacted are advised to get in touch with their individual schools to find a solution.

Consumers are alerted to fraudulent schemes that demand payment in exchange for improved results. The examination was taken by 448,674 candidates in total, of which 212,453 males and 236,221 females from 975 schools were the participants. This indicates a 5.8% increase over the 422,883 entry figure from 2022. Furthermore, a minimum of 0.75% (3,404 candidates) were noted as not having attended the test.
