In order to prioritize his health, Afrobeats sensation Daniel Ikubor, well known as Rema, has canceled all of his December commitments.
The singer of the song “Calm Down” revealed this on his Instagram account on Wednesday.
Rema pointed out that he had neglected his health during his years of touring and that it was time to heal.
“Breaks my heart to say that I won’t be performing anywhere this December,” was the succinct statement he released. I’ve neglected my health for years due to touring, and I need time to heal. We go again in 2024, my love .
This happens soon after Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki announced that Rema, the musical prodigy from Edo, would be the guest of honor in a lavish Homecoming Music Concert on December 21.
According to a statement from the state government, Obaseki told young people he was excited to return Rema to his origins on Wednesday at the Sir Victor Uwaifo Creative Hub in Benin City, the state capital.
Obaseki was cited in the statement as stating, “With God’s grace, we will bring Rema home this Christmas.” There will be a homecoming concert for Rema.
