Performance Tracker: Government fixes 67 data entry mistakes

In less than 72 hours following the platform’s inauguration, the government, acting through the Information Ministry, has acknowledged and rectified 67 incorrect entries.

Residents reported those mistakes to the Information Ministry within 48 hours of the launch, according to a post on X under the handle (@PerfTrackergh).

The announcement stated, “We have found 67 entries that were inadvertently included within 48 hours of the launch.”

Additionally, the post mentioned that around seventy-four initiatives that were not yet on the platform were brought to the attention of the Ministry.

Regarding the mistakes, it stated, “These have been fixed.”

Additionally, 74 projects that were completed by June 2023 and should have been included have come to our knowledge. These are also included, it continued.

On Wednesday, April 10, the government introduced the Performance Tracker. The platform seeks to improve accountability and transparency in infrastructure projects across the country.

The Minister of Works and Housing, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, emphasized the platform’s vital role in ensuring transparency and accountability in the implementation of infrastructure projects around the nation.


Mr. Oppong Nkrumah also disclosed that the tracker contains more than 13,000 projects.

In 2020, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia launched the Delivery Tracker. The Ofoase-Ayirebi politician emphasized that the tracker is an upgraded version of that tool and emphasized its need for monitoring the progress of multiple projects around the nation.
