Efia revealed that she spent six months traveling around the US.

“After that grief, I left Ghana and spent six months in America. Every day, I would cry. I was playing music by Gyakie while I sobbed. Tears filled my pillow. My realization following the breakup was that you can’t love someone more than you love yourself. I learned about my own value and worth from this man. When you don’t appreciate yourself, it shows to others. Do you recall the common proverb that says girls who experience heartbreak discover God? I experienced it; I came to know God,” she remarked.
After realizing that I am that b*tch, I woke up one day. I love myself, so why should I love a man more? In August, I let out my final cry and discovered my inner power. Recalling this, Efia Odo said, “I promised myself I wouldn’t let this happen to me again.”
