The 2023 Central Music Awards saw Koby Symple, a youthful and vibrant Highlife performer, win the title of Artiste of the Year.
This year’s celebration of diligent musicians in the Central Region was the 12th edition, and it took place on Saturday, November 25, at the Center for National Culture.
Godfred Kobina Abavana, a native of Koby Symple and University of Cape Coast first-degree holder, won Afropop Song of the Year for his song “Straight Win.”
As one of the top live band performers over the years, Koby Symple has collaborated on tracks with artists such as Sarkodie, Medikal, and Kofi Kinaata.
Top government officials, traditional leaders, corporate business executives, media figures, and music enthusiasts attended the Central Music’s largest night.
With 35 official prize categories, the 2023 edition showcased a ton of incredible musical talent from all 22 of the Central Region’s districts.
