In the CAF Champions League match against CR Belouizdad, Medeama overcame a goal deficit to win 2-1 at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
The winning goal was scored in stoppage time by Kamaradini Mamudu, demonstrating the tenacity and resolve of the Ghanaian winners.
Ishak Talal Boussouf was fouled inside the box in the 39th minute, resulting in a penalty kick for Belouizdad to take the lead. But shortly before halftime, Daniel Lomotey deflected a well-executed free-kick from Kamaradini Mamudu into the net, allowing Medeama to promptly counter.
Both sides had opportunities in the second half, with Derrick Fordjour of Medeama nearly scoring in the 85th minute, but Alexis Guendouz made a fantastic save to keep it out. However, it was Mamudu who, well into injury time, put Medeama ahead by heading home a cross from Kwadwo Amoako.
With this victory, Medeama has turned things around after losing their first game 3-0 to Al Ahly. Now that they have three points, they are eager to host Young Africans SC in their upcoming game.
