Rita expressed her happiness that the parade has continued for decades, despite a number of changes.
It is, she believes, “a good decision as it will open a lot of doors because we will put it on the front burner,” that the organizers made in choosing to seek the High Commission’s backing.
She remarked, “I’m excited for the edition that will be held here in London or anywhere else in the UK.”

Following Charles Cobbina’s presentation of a 2023 masquerade suit and cups from the Iron Fighters masquerade organization, the deputy Ghana High Commissioner provided the guarantee.
The initiative’s organizers hope that the deputy high commissioner for Ghana will take on the role of ambassador and assist in gaining the project’s requisite attention and support in the UK.
