A chef from Uganda who spent 144 hours cooking in an attempt to beat the record for the longest cooking duration has responded to a cook-a-thon attempt by a chef from Ghana named Faliatu Abdul Razak.

Mama D disclosed that she has chosen to pursue a different world record rather than participating in another cook-a-thon. Numerous commenters on her article expressed support for her intention to try recording another song.

In response to news that Ghanaian chef Failatu Abdul-razak is cooking for 240 hours in an attempt to unseat current cook-a-thon record holder, Irish chef Alan Fisher, the Ugandan chef, who reportedly cooked for 144 hours, disclosed this information on X. He was awaiting confirmation from Guinness World Records.

Mama D revealed that she has decided not to go back to the kitchen in the hopes of cooking for days in order to be known as the person with the longest cooking time in the world in response to a commenter who advised her to let Chef Faliatu finish her cook-a-thon before she tries another one.
