Prominent Ghanaian journalist Bridget Otoo has called for the “castration” of certain Catholic priests who have engaged in sexual misconduct.

The journalist now adopts a more extreme attitude in her most recent follow-up post, even in the face of criticism. Her support for permitting priests to get married has shifted.
Rather, if offenders are unwilling to give up their bad habits, she suggests taking more severe measures against them.
In her letter, she apologized, saying, “I was just trying to be nice when I suggested that Catholic priests be permitted to marry. If they don’t want to stop raping women, sodomizing young boys at the altar, abusing children, and having many children while the church covers it, I propose we castrate them.
