Ricky Gervais has come under fire from Ashley Cain (gervais-expands-uk-and-ireland-armageddon-tour-with-new-dates-18509634/5).
The 33-year-old former star of Ex on the Beach, whose daughter Azaylia passed away at the age of eight months in 2021 from cancer, claimed that the After Life star’s routine was disrespectful to “those parents left behind.”
In the stand-up, the 62-year-old creator of The Office called hospitalized children “baldies” and questioned why those who benefited from the Make-A-Wish Foundation charity didn’t “wish to get better.”
Ashley claimed he had to turn off after seeing a trailer for the tour, which would be available on the streamer on Christmas, because the jokes had left him “so mad.” He went on to say, “Some things are just not funny.”
