The widely recognized Ghanaian artist Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr., better known by his stage name Shatta Wale, has disabled his X profile.
After taking the unexpected step in the wee hours of Wednesday, December 27, 2023, the leader of Shatta Movement joyfully announced on Facebook that he was finally finished dealing with X.
Shatta Wale stated that he believed the majority of X users lacked sufficient common sense in a video that he posted online following his conduct.
The popular song “On God” pointed out that the majority of these users are concerned with agendas that don’t really contribute anything worthwhile to the Ghanaian entertainment sector.
He continued by saying that the last reason he deactivated his account, which presently has over 3.5 million followers, was the pointless calls made by some Ghanaian X users, who identify as prominent voices on the app, urging Nigerians to post wishful messages on their accounts in support of Afua Asantewaa during her current singathon. He mentioned that some Ghanaians had done the same when Hilda Baci was participating in her cookathon.
Shatt Wale expressed his anger in a dark room, emphasizing that he felt it was time to leave the X platform because the calls had been pointless.
